Today I have been looking at some beautiful
Vintage nativity scenes,
especially ones with angels.
A French 1893 nativity illustration
Through the ages artists have painted angels very differently.
How fascinating!

Here is another nativity with angels -
I’m guessing it is from the 1970’s.

The next nativity is what I call classic European.
Baby Jesus is blonde and white,
His parents are often blonde and white also.
The angels are child-like with rosy cheeks
and blonde curls.

Angels come in as many shapes, colors and forms
as we can imagine.
How about we make some of our own?
A simple accordion folded paper angel.
A simple cut paper angel that you form into a cone.
A folded page book angel, with embellishments.
I found angels made from all sorts of things,
such as shells, ribbon and macaroni!
Found these on Pinterest from a craft article.
Ribbon and bead angels

Found on Pinterest, but I believe it is from a shop on Etsy.com
Try out your own style and make a few angels
to give away or decorate with.
Have fun!

Tying shoes,
Or writing out bills...

I do love the more accurate depiction of an older Joseph however.
