Summer's End

www.stampscapes.com

Summer is coming to end so soon....
let's enjoy some last-minute summer fun
before the weather gets cool
and the days get shorter....

Rocky Mountains
www.wallpaperdojo.com

Here in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains,
we look forward to the aspen trees changing color.
They provide us with colorful splashes of yellow,
gold and some flames of russet.

But, before that happens,
I think we should take a last visit to the beach...
(of course, not here in land-locked Colorado....)

Here are some charming bears, ready for late
summer activities:

I believe I got these from origamibears
They are from sheets of wrapping paper.

Next is one of my Collage Paper Paintings.
I use all recycled junk mail and upcycled magazines to create my  one-of-a-kind paper collages.

Mary, Mary, quite contrary, is checking on her
last flowers of the season:

I like to include "FUN FINDS" when I list each Collage Painting. With Mary, the 'fun find' is
her bottom skirt is made from a Q-tip ad!

Now is the perfect time and temperature
to get lots of dog walks in!

Perfect weather for a little serenading too...

I'd like to finish with a charming paper doll set
'Little Susan'
She has many darling outfits that will take her from Summer into Fall with a nice Autumn coat!

I believe I got this set from Origamibears

That's all for today friends.
Remember to step outside and breathe in
the last of summer...

I can't think about Saint Patrick's Day
or Ireland
without thinking about shamrocks.
Also known as
clover.

The Four Leaf Clover is considered by many to be 'lucky'.
In reference to 'shamrock' it is almost always a three-leaf.

More Fairytale Cottages

Phyongh'wa

'Peace' in South Korean

Traditional wedding costumes paper dolls for Mexico and Korea

Today is another fantasy, fairytale kind of day!
It's 101 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
Sunny with no clouds or chance of rain...
I'd say it's high time for a little fairy-tale dreaming!

Fairy tale Toad House, http://www.claysoul.etsy.com/

I have had way too much fun looking at way cool cottages
with fairies, elves and such.
So naturally, I have to share with you!

'Brighton's Fairy House'

Just as I said yesterday, I don't have much if any information on many
of the fairy cottages that I found.
If you know of a name, or where they are located,
please drop  me a note so I can credit the photos.
Thanks!

I adore the look of a thatched roof!
I understand they need a fair amount of upkeep, and replacement every so many years. So, they would be ideal to rent!!!
I've always wondered what the bug factor is with them?

for I would ride with you upon the wind
and dance upon the mountains

'Storybook House' is 12 inches high

I found some great vintage fairytale house type paper dolls,
many of them from OrigamiBears, but also gathered elsewhere.
