I have been busy recently, with my etsy shop re-opening.

I have to slip in and grab computer time in between my husband looking for a job.
In a way, it will be nice when he gets a job
and leaves every day and then comes home.

I purchased this lovely strand of graduated blues glass drop beads at a bead show.
I made my first necklace,
then I had enough beads for a second,
and finally one more!

They are so easy to work with.
It is just amazing to me the amount of $$$ they do each day!

I have fun creating titles/names for my creations.
I think I get a glimpse of what it must be like
for those people who come up with lipstick shades!

So, how does one become a 'makeup' naming specialist?

correctly!

Have any of you ever wondered how I came up with
"inkspired" as a tag name?

It came about around 29 years ago or so,
prob'ly even 31 yrs.!
I was teaching myself to rubber stamp
(no stores or home parties back then)
and came across this wonderful magazine:

"Hark the Herald Angels Sing" I think....)

...super, bizarre, fun humor!

Anyway,
they have a free place in the back to advertise if you want to find stamping pen pals, birthdays, anniversaries...
I sent in a request for pen pals, and kind of fell in to
'inkspired' !!
Some of my pals shortened it to 'inky' or 'inks',
but there were other stampers with that name,
or close to.
No other inkspireds!

I have registered the name,
missed having it my domain name by 24 hours! (grrrr..)

I have had some fun this morning looking over my 'blog stats'.
I've learned some surprising things,
and some interesting things.
Let's explore!

My number one most popular blog for this time period

Puppy Love

Looking through the Yahoo front page news today, I came across a
POSITIVE news article!
Here is the addy:

In brief, it is about a new program that San Francisco is starting
to combat homelessness.
For residents that are living in government assisted housing
they will have the opportunity to foster dogs
from the local Animal Rescue.
The resident receives food and medical care for the foster dog.
They also may qualify for up to $75 per week,
IF
they no longer panhandle (beg).

This program was started because of an initial donation of $10,000.
Wow.
The San Francisco Animal Shelter received 500 more dogs last year then ever before. They blame this on a tougher economy,
where feeding children and paying rent are more important than feeding a dog.

I understand that,
and I applaud these people that have the honesty and courage
to give their pet a second chance.
To give them to an animal shelter where they will be cared for,
and hopefully be adopted by a new 'forever family'.

Pug Paper Doll


This little doggie coloring page is of a wire-haired dachsund.
We grew up with a little dog that looked exactly like this.
His name was Clancy, and he grew to have quite the reputation.
His coloring was a 'Wheaton' type coloring, with shades of blonde and brown.
His fur was very wiry!
And he was OH SO STUBBORN -
a character trait we learned typical for the breed.
In Phoenix he loved running off, just a block or so,
and finding some kind of black tarry sewage drain where he would roll in it,
and come home so happy with himself.
Pe-whew!

Now, I prefer to take this song about a 'hot' dog,
as in Clancy in the summer in Phoenix.

However, dogs are very near and dear to my heart,
