Update problems

 Hello dear ones,

I was forced to do a system upgrade to ‘Improve my time’ on my I-Pad.

Right.

So now I can’t get blogger to upload any of my photos as Chrome is blocking that. Can’t get Chrome to unblock it.

Been super frustrated. Who decided to call these things cookies anyway? And are they Snickerdoodles or are they chocolate chip cookies?

So until this issue can get resolved I’m stuck. Photos are such a large part of my blogs.

Yes, I’ve consulted computer-type experts. No help yet. I’ve reached out to Chrome, Google Chrome, etc. I’m about ready to look for the Wizard of Oz to see if he has any helpful hints.

So…I’m sorry. I really don’t know what I can do for right now. I’m not really a ‘let’s chat about things’ kind of blogger. I’m very visual, as you know.

Sigh.

I have a couple blogs in the works:

What’s a real hero?

The history of Aprons

Andre’ C. Takacs, illustrator

Sheet Music Art

- titles are all in the works of course. I’ve also started researching the Choctaw Native Americans of the USA and the country of Norway.

I have always had fun with my blogs! I hope you have too. Check back please. Perhaps even tomorrow I will have this issue resolved - I’m ever hopeful.

Sincerely Yours,

Anyone know how to get hold of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother? Maybe she could fix it..

Fall Fancy Fashions

 Welcome!

Let’s have some fun with Autumn Ball dresses, shoes and accessories. A last hurrah! before Christmas parties.

I chose shades of orange to go with this lovely gown:

I like the simplicity of the pearls with an added floral embellishment. Nothing too much that would detract from the gown itself.

This lovely dress is the opposite of the previous one! Lots of embellishments with a richer color palette. I do like that the bottom of the gown is printed not embroidered like the bodice and sleeves. It makes the overall look flow rather than be ‘choppy’ and over-the-top.

A pretty pair of Pearl earrings and a sparkly ring is all this dress needs to complete it. A simple ribbon choker could be added, but you don’t want any complicated jewelry to detract from all the lovely embellishments it already has going on.

Our next gown is perfect for cooler temperatures when you want longer sleeves:

I just love the deep, rich colors in this one! I chose to pick out the golds/yellows in this one to lighten the overall palette:

Dolce & Gabbana “Bellucci”

The next gown is going to be perfect for the dance floor. Shorten the length a bit if you plan on dancing to avoid accidents.

With all the frills I chose just a simple pair of shoes to accessorize:

While we love orange, sometimes you need a complimentary color to reveal the beauty of all the shades of orange. This next gown has done that:

I love purple and orange together! I also love the formal large pleats in the skirt. Let’s add a simple metallic necklace design and a fabulous pair of shoes:

My next gown brings the color down a few notches to a softer version of orange. It is more of a traditional, formal ball gown style.

Wearing proper undergarments is a must for this dress. Don’t skimp on the crinoline under slip!
Let’s add a bronze pair of ankle strap sandals and a pretty cocktail ring in deeper shades to accent the rose embellishments:

Moving away from orange as the main color, I chose this next gown because I love the deep rich colors of burgundy with taupe and peach as accents. All shout ‘Autumn!’ to me!

With all the embroidery and accent colors a simple pair of pearl earrings are the only jewelry you need. I couldn’t resist these marvelous shoes however!

Keeping with less orange and more burgundy reds, this next gown is a lovely change from previous styles:

Of course we have to add a great pair of shoes:

Next is my last ball gown. There are so many things I love about this one - the scattered rose embellishments, the sheer mesh neckline, the lace collar…

Let’s add a simple pair of gold bow earrings and a lovely pair of velvet and rhinestone shoes:

That’s all for today! I hope you have enjoyed my little dream of swirling ball gowns on parquet floors with sparkling chandeliers above.

Spring Ball Fashions

 Welcome!

My Spring daffodils and tulips are nodding their pretty heads in a gentle breeze.

I think Spring is here!

Also, we have had an April snow, which is a sure sign that Spring has arrived.

No matter what the current fashion gurus say, Spring for me means pastel colors.

How about you?

Did you agree the one Spring where ‘they’ decided the Spring color palette would feature the color….

Black?

Nothing quite says

‘Spring wedding’ like black…

Um….

No.

So I went on a search for pastels -

Shoes of course!

What a logical place to start!

And where there’s fancy shoes,

there’s beautiful dresses!

After falling in love with all the florals, and tulle, and lace; and stiletto heels with ribbons and loops of pearls,

I decided it was time for

a Spring Fantasy Fashion Blog!

I think perhaps inside every woman is a little girl that wants to at least once be Cinderella - the gown, the shoes, the Ball.
Even my ‘tomboy’ friends just might want to put on a sparkly rhinestone pin.
Let’s dream a bit, shall we?

Many girls start out with the gorgeous high heels, but as the night wears on they change to flats. Sounds sensible to me!

Of course I always have plenty of things I haven’t room to post in one blog.
I have enjoyed researching this so much,
or should I say dreaming so much?

This Cinderella is off to adjust her tiara…
