Both of these shops feature unique, hand made items.

I just completed another new treasury:

"Now, isn't imagination a precious thing?
It peoples the earth with all manner of wonders,
strange beasts
and birds, angels, cherubim and seraphim.
And it has to be exercised.
No child should be permitted to grow up
without
exercise for imagination.

It enriches life for the child.

It makes things wonderful and beautiful."

I hope you have enjoyed just a taste of my new treasury. I had so much fun looking for items to put in it! I have enough 'favorites' to make at least one more treasury with a fairy theme - perhaps tomorrow!

Spring is in the air!

Welcome!

"A gust of wind" by Gaetano Bellei
my-museum-of-art.blogspot.com

Ah, visions of Spring!
I know some of you have already had Spring, or are in a different zone where this is coming into your (gasp) winter!

But today, we are having a typical Rocky Mountain Spring:
snow.
Yep, snow.
7 - 10 inches of the white wet stuff.

But....

Spring is still in the air...sort of.
I have lovely jonquils and daffodils blooming in my gardens.
At least, they were blooming yesterday. Today they will freeze and turn brown and wilt-y. Oh well, there's always hope for the coming tulips!!

Here is a cute miniature scene. It comes with a 'Christmas' tree, but you can decorate that or not, as you wish.

no, not me, another Karen!!!

for some strange reason, my computer saved the Large Tree in a weird format that I can't open.
Sorry.
Still learning this foreign language called "computer-speak".
I bet if you printed at 300% or so (play around with the sizing) the one large tree, it would be the right size for the 'Christmas tree'.
:0)
Have fun,
and don't forget to take pictures to share with us!

at the right of my blog you will find some of my favorite web sites.
This comes from the Music Library site.

Well, it's that time again where I need to close.
It is still snowing outside. I don't mind. Living in a semi-arid climate -
we can always use the moisture!!

I best go turn on our fireplace, Turner loves to lay in front of it and get all toasty warm!

until next time...

free Irish themed paper dolls

WELCOME!

Today is a paper doll day!
Oh! Happy Day!!

Shamrock Care Bear
www.ReprievesCorner.etsy.com

Today I will be featuring several lovely gowns from Liana.
If you love costumes, dresses, paper dolls or just looking for inspiration,
check out her blog! Recently she had a cute little baby,
so she hasn't been as active. She has a wonderful archive however.
Her site address is to the right of my blog.

This is Grace.
She will fit all the dresses that face to the right.

Here is Ivy.
She will also fit all the dresses that face right.

I first thought these next dolls were Irish,
but they're not
(look at the flag, Karen).
I like the dress anyway.

card front by inkspiredusing Sizzix die cuts.
You can't tell in the photo, but the shoes, top trim and skirt are from textured paper.

Have you seen the Gingham's?
They were a paper doll series of the 1970's.
Here is a page of dresses for
Sarah

Sarah always has dresses with green tabs.

Here is her other friend...

or are they sisters?
You decide!

Here are some other clothes from the set:

Aren't paper dolls fun??!!
