Snowflakes In Paper

Welcome!

Kaleidoscope by inkspired

We have recently had quite a bit of snow,
and it’s still here in piles.
That’s unusual for us.
In the mornings our trees and plants are covered
in a beautiful layer of snow and ice.

‘The wonder of a single snowflake
Outweighs
the wisdom of a million
meteorologists.’

When was the last time you cut a paper snowflake?

You can find all kinds of patterns now
even Star Wars theme snowflakes!

There are a LOT more! (33)
You can find the free downloads at
www.mattersofgrey.com

Perhaps the best snowflakes are those you just cut
free form from your imagination!

This one is from countrydays.wordpress.com

Why not take a few moments out of your busy schedule?
Sit down with a pair of scissors and a piece of paper.
And then, just snip away!

Here is a nice visual of how to fold your paper:

Cut a few snowflakes,
then snap a photo and share with us!
I would love to see your creations.
❤️

That’s all for today.
Have a GREAT day, and remember to respect yourself.

‘Til next time,

There’s no Snow like a Snow Nose...

🎡🎢🎢🎡

Welcome!

“When you rise in the morning,
give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food
and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.”
- Tecumseh

I hope today’s blog finds you wealthy in good friends
And filled with plenty of the love that surrounds you.

Today we have snow piled high, sunny skies,
cloudy skies, and cold, cold, cold!

I found several photos on Pinterest of our furry friends
Confronting Snow.
Or enjoying it.
You pick!

Those are some cold looking noses!

Do you think it is their first time
Experiencing snow?

Here are a few more:

If you are in a place with snow,
No matter how much or how little,
I hope you will see some beauty in it today.

Truth: (based on experience)
If you walk into a room and want light,
Check first to see if the lamp is already on
Before
you flip the switch.
This can be crucial when in a closet already occupied.

With a blue pen of course!

No Beads?
How about playing with a fun app
From The App Store -

Using a photo app to play with color and textures

Still bored?
Blah?

I bet a little humor could cheer you up!

If you have a paper cutting machine,
You can make cards.
Blue cards that don’t remind you of
Snow.

No cutting machine?
How about stamps?

What! NO RUBBER STAMPS?

Wow, you really are unprepared for a snow day!

Okay, last suggestion -

Reading is good for the Soul

Welcome!

Apparently I am in a reading books mood!
I think the early nightfall contributes to this.

Cozy up with a soft blanket in front of the fireplace
and reading a good book -
Wonderful!

In a bookstore, somewhere!

I love the poems in a dispenser idea!

This large library has an interesting story behind it.

In 2012 artist Theaster Gates purchased an abandoned bank building. The roof had fallen in, and it was a wreck.
He paid $1.00.
He is in the process of turning it into a huge
Arts Center!
This photo is of the Johnson Publishing Archive,
at Stony Island Bank.
😲

So go find a book to read, already!
